Rob has more than 15 years of geotechnical engineering and project management experience, primarily serving the power and mining industries in the United States and Canada. For mining clients, he has provided prefeasibility-level site reconnaissance, pit and spoil-pile highway-stability assessments, haul-road design, and strength assessments of ultra-soft tailings. He has also conducted research and development work associated with tailings disposal technologies.
In the power industry, Rob’s work includes geotechnical condition assessments for aging coal-fired power plants and liquefaction assessments for existing hydroelectric facilities. He also manages large-scale geotechnical investigations for wind- and solar-power developments, biomass facilities, and pumped-storage projects. He has served as a geotechnical engineer on over 50 renewable energy projects.
